Rosy is 5!

Rosy had her first day of Head Start. I wanted to take her photo but she said, "I already took a picture last year."  Finally she let me, but don't for a second believe that smile is real...like you were going to anyway.

Ike missed her so much and was thrilled when she got home.
She insisted on wearing her dress with the orange sweater to school and had a blast with friends over for orange snacks.

She didn't want a cake, instead we went to Yogurt Extreme where she put together the most disgusting and colorful dessert.  Brandon said it looked like a unicorn had puked.  Basically it was the perfect birthday.

The day after birthday blues are a real thing folks.  There must be some algorithm that can calculate the ratio between the joy of a special day and the emotional meltdown that comes a day later.  Figuring it out is a graduate thesis waiting to happen.

The kids are still a little small to be good game players, but I can see the light.  We are getting started with Sorry.

Ike and I made some Golden Plum Jam.
Ike spends a few minutes every day talking to his Oma and Opa on his toy phone.  He tells them all about his life and walks around showing them things in the house.
