We only had a couple of days in Eugene but I was determined that we wouldn't miss our chance at one of my favorite parts of summer. This was the first year that the girls got into the blackberry picking.
They picked a whole bunch of berries, but just about every single one of them ended up in their mouths.
Our top secret picking spot had been mowed down a little and the majority of the berries weren't quite ripe but with a little bit of diligence we were able to bring in a pretty good haul.
Now that we're back in the U.S. and can get back to our usual consumption of peanut butter this jam will definitely come in handy.
I love Oregon.
